Introducing Us!

On World Heritage Day , D&I are at “The Istana” , one of Singapore’s oldest heritage sites.

Located in the heart of the city, the Istana is a green lung amid Singapore’s metropolitan bustle. Standing on what used to be a nutmeg plantation, it is currently the office of the President of Singapore.

Notice the flag flown on top of the Istana Building ?
Fun fact: It is not the national flag but the Presidential Standard, which is not flown when the president is not in the country.

Spanning over 40 hectares , D&I think that this beautiful building is befitting of it’s Malay name which translates to ‘Palace’. Dont you ?

📍Visiting the Istana – Access to the Istana grounds is only open to the public five days a year. So do check before you plan your visit!
